AVISA team congratulates our project coordinator, Dr. Chris Ojiewo, whose research work, published on  Wiley Online Library, was one of the top 10 most downloaded research papers in January 2018 to December 2019 publication history period!

The research work, listed below, generated immediate impact and helped to raise the visibility of Plant Breeding:

A decade of Tropical Legumes projects: Development and adoption of improved varieties, creation of market‐demand to benefit smallholder farmers and empowerment of national programmes in sub‐Saharan Africa and South Asia;

Genetics, genomics and breeding of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.);

Integrated breeding approaches for improving drought and heat adaptation in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.; and

Pigeonpea improvement: An amalgam of breeding and genomic research.
